"The Power of Connection"
Featuring Keynote Speaker: Jensine Larsen
Center for the Arts, Jackson, Wyoming
Jensine (Yen-See Nah) Larsen is an award-winning social media entrepreneur, international journalist, and speaker. At age 28 she founded World Pulse – a digital media network connecting women worldwide and bringing them a global voice – after working as a freelance journalist covering indigenous movements and ethnic cleansing in South America and Southeast Asia. Today World Pulse is powered by tens of thousands of women from more than 190 countries, many who are using internet cafes and cell phones from rural villages and conflict zones, collectively improving the lives of 7.6 million people. www.worldpulse.com
Today women from virtually every country in the world are connecting through World Pulse and producing a multiplier effect of change. Women previously unknown by the global public are having their stories picked up from World Pulse by the BBC, CNN, the UN, the Huffington Post, and beyond. In addition, by networking through World Pulse’s website grassroots women leaders are finding job opportunities, starting new programs and businesses, launching women’s cybercafés, and finding international speaking opportunities that are changing their lives and lifting their communities.
Following the coffee reception and keynote address, full-day attendees will break out into workshops and a group panel discussion led by local and regional facilitators. The afternoon programming will focus on various aspects of connection: Technology, Gender, Inner Self, Creativity, and Community. (Workshop details coming soon.)
Thanks to a marketing grant from the Travel and Tourism Board, Womentum will be able to maximize exposure for all event sponsors. For more information about sponsorship opportunities for the 2019 Women in Leadership Summit, please contact email@example.com.
