An afternoon of personal and professional programming

available in person at the Center for the Arts, Jackson, WY

or virtually through live-stream.

The 2021 Women in Leadership Summit, “Leading with Integrity,” features a keynote conversation with United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, M. Margaret McKeown. Teton County Commissioner, Natalia Duncan Macker will interview Judge Mckeown and discuss the importance of “Trusting Your Judgement.”

Born and raised in Casper, and graduate of University of Wyoming, Judge McKeown is immediate past chair of the ABA Rule of Law Initiative and a current special advisor. She has lectured throughout the world on international law, human rights law, intellectual property, litigation, ethics, judicial administration, and constitutional law and has participated in numerous rule of law initiatives with judges and lawyers. Judge Mckeown was also a great friend to Ruth Bader Ginsberg, who served as her mentor for many years. In February 2020, Mckeown hosted an armchair interview with RBG titled Searching for Equality: The 19th Amendment and Beyond at Georgetown Law. Within days of the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, and prior to her death in September, this interview was one of the Supreme Court Justice’s last public appearances. A frequent visitor to Jackson Hole, Judge McKeown currently serves on the Board of the Teton Science Schools.

Justice McKeown’s keynote will be followed by two workshops: “Having Difficult Conversations” with bilingual therapist and founder of Vista Counseling, Daniela Peterson, and Emotional Intelligence Coach, Jamil Higley of Jackson and “Work/Life Balance” with Erin Taylor of Cheyenne.

Thanks to the generosity of past sponsors, Womentum’s annual Women in Leadership Summit has become the signature personal and professional development event for women in our region and last year’s event, “Women Who Lead: Equality, Compassion, & Courage,” was no exception. While we had to pivot our programming to an online format, we were delighted to host three hundred participants who engaged in the summit and look forward to offering both in person and online attendance options on Friday, October 29, 2021.
