Taking the Plunge: How to Overcome Fear of Change and Fear of Failure

Personal Development Workshop with Sallie Felton

Have you ever found yourself stuck…emotionally, mentally or physically? Your stomach is in knots, decisions are almost impossible to make, sleep is an afterthought and stress is knocking at your door. AND just to make matters worse, you already have enough negative self-talk and judgment going on in your head.  Sound familiar? So what is it about fear of change and/or fear of failure that holds you back?

LEARN: Why does fear of change or fear of failure stop you from living your life fully, setting goals or starting your business? Explore why you do it and how to overcome it, including:

  • What do you need to do to quiet the fear.

  • Tricks to learn how to  the eliminate the “monkey mind” of doubt and fear

  •  What do you need to do to change your mindset and accomplish your goals?

  • Set your intentions clearly and understand what you want to do with your personal life and/or business

  • What do you need that you don't have now and how you are going to find it?

As featured on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX News affiliates across the country, Sallie Felton is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation, radio host, author, facilitator, hypnotherapist, deep imagery therapist and inspirational speaker. Program #3: 3:45 - 5:00 pm

A Conversation about Diversity, Equality & Inclusion

Womentum is honored to host this program in collaboration with the Jackson Hole DEI Collective.

A panel discussion introducing the parallel perspectives from both and people of color and white representatives. We will begin by “getting real about whiteness” and addressing privilege and bias even among the most well intentioned.

The Jackson Hole DEI Collective is a group of local leaders working together to make our community more equitable, inclusive, and racially just. Members of the Collective occupy intersecting dominant and marginalized identities, including Black people, People of Color, and White people, straight, LGBTQ+, cis-gendered, and genderqueer.

Advance registrants will be provided resources to prepare for this conversation.

Virtual Book Discussion

The Likeability Trap: How to Break Free and Succeed as You Are

By Alicia Menendez

In conjunction with the Women in Leadership Summit 2020, Womentum is excited to host virtual book discussions on The Likeability Trap: How to Break Free and Succeed as You Are by Alicia Menendez.

“Relying on extensive research and interviews, and carefully examined personal experience, The Likeability Trap delivers an essential examination of the pressure put on women to be amiable at work, home, and in the public sphere, and explores the price women pay for internalizing those demands. Rather than advising readers to make themselves likeable, Menendez empowers them to examine how they perceive themselves and others and explores how the concept of likeability is riddled with cultural biases. Our demands for likeability, she argues, hinder everyone’s progress and power.”

Books available at JH Booktrader, Valley Books and your favorited online booksellers. It also is a great audio book!

If you are interested, let us know which date and time you would like to participate. (It is not a series of discussions). Sign up for your preferred time here:

  • 4:00-5:15pm Sunday, November 8

  • 4:00-5:15pm Sunday, November 15
